Highly professional in all aspects especially in first contact and has the ability to make the patient feel at ease throughout the procedure. As far as Dr Kandikattu goes I would fully recommend him. ( please note the theatre staff and ward nurses were absolutely superb

Originally saw Dr Kandikattu in clinic, really listened and treated me as a whole person, taking other disabilities into consideration rather than just what I was seeing him for. It was agreed that he would carry out steroid injections in facet and sacroiliac joints. On day of procedure he automatically put me at ease and made sure I knew what was happening. Throughout the procedure he constantly was asking me was I okay and was I feeling any pain so he could help with that and was lovely hearing him say that for me to be having no pain is his priority. He was also telling me how calm I was and at what stage he was. He then again chatted to me whilst in recovery room, reassuring me that all went well etc. I have a follow up appointment with him in 3 months. I was nervous to have these injections after hearing some horror stories about how much they hurt but it was not like that at all. I would happily have them again and happily recommend Dr Kandikattu.

This gentleman was fantastic, he explained everything to me about what was going to happen with my 4 facet Joint injections in my neck. Whilst the procedure was being performed he checked on me all the time asking me if I was okay and to tell him straight away if I was uncomfortable, he kept asking if my breathing was okay also. A very nice professional gentleman I would definitely recommend him. If I had to have another procedure I would definitely ask to see him again.

Dr Kandikattu is a very caring and passionate doctor who completely listens top his patients and then them treatment options. These options are clearly explained and you leave his office feeling well heard. During my procedure, Dr Kandikattu provided a running commentary of everything he was doing and constantly asked how I was feeling. I found this to be very reassuring and takes away some of the nerves one feels during such procedures. He is very hands-on and is very involved in the care of his patients.

This doctor was approachable, friendly and informative. I have seen him some 5 times now, three times within the theatre enviroment. He has a tenedency to ask very frequently how one is durring the actual procedures, the dialog, although on the face of it is repetative, it does not interfere at all with the theatre procedures. He does take time to explain procedures and I liked his manorisms.

“I am pleased to now be able to tutor students studying for their MSc in Regional Anaesthetics at the University of East Anglia and I hope that I can instil some of desire to embrace new and modern pain management techniques in these trainees.”

Dr Kandikattu offers comprehensive pain management to people suffering from chronic pain from their head to their toes including: cancer, musculoskeletal and spinal (neck, chest, lower back, sciatica), neuropathic, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic headaches and persistent post-surgical pain.

He performs a full range of pain interventions including epidurals, facet and sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency denervations, most of which are image-guided using x-ray or ultrasound guidance. He is also an expert in treating acute pain and inpatient pain management.

“I use this holistic model of approach for all my patients, taking all the biological, psychological and, social factors into account as each can impact on a patient’s pain. It’s important to treat patients as a whole.” said Dr Kandikattu.
